The Director will be responsible for creating a culture in this separate department that will stimulate and foster innovation. The scope of the PoWeR Innovations department includes development of new and innovative programs for all areas of Pratt and Whitney Rocketdyne's business scope including but not limited to liquid rocket engines, propulsion subsystems and systems, energy systems, power conversion systems, and other future potential opportunities within the charter of PWR.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Director will be responsible for formulating and subsequently managing the execution of projects and programs with responsibility for successfully meeting project and contractual requirements, achieving all the technical objectives, and performing within cost and schedule constraints.&lt;br /&gt;

The Director must develop and maintain a healthy working relationship with all customer counter parts. This effort will include frequent and effective communications to identify and promote business opportunities, to assure that developing technologies will enable applicable design solutions, and to assure effective management and execution of programs.&lt;br /&gt;

Reporting to the Sr. VP of Human Resources, this position will be responsible for the overall direction of planning, communication and administration of compensation and benefit strategies, policies, programs, practices and procedures. This individual will manage a team and play a key role in attracting, motivating, and retaining talent by providing highly competitive total compensation programs and responsible for the strategy, research, implementation and overall management of benefit programs.&lt;br /&gt;

Key responsibilities include:&lt;br /&gt;

• Develop, implement and administer compensation and long-term incentive total rewards programs.&lt;br /&gt;

• Provide strategic direction and input regarding overall compensation strategies that supports the culture, company direction and the business needs of the organization.&lt;br /&gt;
• Oversee the design, development and implementation of programs, tools and processes in the areas of base and incentive pay designed to improve management and employee performance and productivity.&lt;br /&gt;

• Use competitive compensation guidelines making recommendations to management for salary planning including annual merit process. .&lt;br /&gt;

Candidate Profile&lt;br /&gt;

• Bachelor's degree required, MBA is desirable. Applicable certifications a plus&lt;br /&gt;
• 6 to 12 years of compensation and incentive design. Development and administration of benefit program experience&lt;br /&gt;
• Strong analytical quantitative and PC software skills required.&lt;br /&gt;
• Working knowledge of long-term incentive and variable incentive plans.&lt;br /&gt;
• Outstanding communication skills, not limited to but including: strong negotiation, influencing and collaboration skills.&lt;br /&gt;
• Strong interpersonal, coaching, consulting and process and project management skills.&lt;br /&gt;

· Responsible for designing, developing and implementing cost effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment.&lt;br /&gt;

· Prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, complete specifications and procedures for new and existing products.&lt;br /&gt;

· Develop test software using LabVIEW.&lt;br /&gt;
